EMILY IAHN Emily Iahn, 63, Bonne Terre, died Feb. 24 at Farmington Community Hospital. She was born at Stoney Point Feb. 20, 1916, a daughter of the late Rufus and Tina Pettus Helms. Surviving are her husband, Ellis Iahn, Bonne Terre; a son, Bill Iahn, Flat River; a daughter, Myrna Owens, Bonne Terre; a brother, Harvey Helms, Flat River; four sisters, Irene Smith, Potosi, Edith Forshee and Lucille Cagel, both of Desloge and Grace Jarvis, Leadwood; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Iahn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Desloge. Services were this afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Desloge with the Rev. Don Stanley officiating. Interment was at St. Francois Memorial Park under direction of Boyer Funeral Home, Bonne Terre.

ELLIS IAHN Ellis N. (Buck) Iahn, 80 of Bonne Terre, died June 13 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1908 in Desloge, son of the later Walter and Margaret Buster Iahn. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Emily Iahn. Mr. Iahn was a member of the Desloge First Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Walter W. Iahn of Columbia; one daughter, Myrna Owen of Desloge; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Don Stanley officiating. Burial will be in St. Francois Memorial Park.

MARGARET CARRIE IAHN Margaret Carrie Iahn of Bonne Terre was born March 7, 1878 in Valles Mines, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Buster and died June 20 in Farmington Community Hospital at the age of 93 years, three months and 13 days. July 12, 1902 she was married to Walter Iahn and he preceded her in death February 12, 1962. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles H. Iahn; one daughter, Edith Iahn; three brothers; and two sisters. Surviving are: one son, Ellis Iahn of Desloge; one sister, Mrs. Alma Moss of St. Louis; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Chapel service will be Wednesday, 2 p.m. with the Rev. Darrell Jauch officiating, assisted by the Rev. Don Stanley. Interment will be in the Odd Fellow Cemetery at Flat River. The body will be in state after 7 tonight at the C. Z. Boyer & Sons Chapel, North Main, Desloge.

WALTER IAHN SERVICES SET FOR FRIDAY 2 p.m. Walter (Barber) Iahn of 201 Middle Street, Bonne Terre, died February 12, at the Bonne Terre Hospital being 81 years and 7 months of age. He was the son of the late William and Isabelle (Higgs) Iahn. He was born at Blackwell, Missouri on July 12, 1880. He had owned and operated a Barber Shop in Bonne Terre for 49 years until his retirement in 1959. On July 11, 1902, he was united in marriage to Margaret Buster. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Iahn of Bonne Terre; a son, Ellis Iahn of Desloge; one brother, Charles Iahn of St. Louis; three sisters, Mrs. Katie McClanahan of Stockton, California; Mrs. Annie McDowell and Mrs. Ella Douglas both of Couch, Missouri; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and large host of friends. He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, two brothers and four sisters. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre; the I.O.O.F. Lodge; K. of P. Lodge and the Rebecca Lodge all of Bonne Terre. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, two o'clock at the C. Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Chapel in Bonne Terre, by the Rev. C. H. McClure and assisted by the Rev. Don Stanley. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in St. Francois, under the direction of the C. Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Service of Bonne Terre.

Clare E. Ide, native of Olean OLEAN -- Clare E. Ide of 113 N. 18th St. died Saturday (Nov. 12, 1994) in the town of Humphrey. Born Dec. 12, 1944, in Olean, she was a daughter of James L. and Helen E. Hee Outman. She was married to Stephen N. Ide, who survives. Surviving besides her husband and her mother of Olean are four children and five brothers. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under direction of the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., Olean.

Arlee J. Jeffers Arlee J. Jeffers, 79, of Genesee died Monday (Oct. 4, 2004) in his home. Born Dec. 16, 1924 in Harrison Valley,, he was the son of Arthur and Katie Knickerbocker Jeffers. On Oct. 7, 1945 in Whitesville, NY, he married the former Gladys G. Outman, who predeceased him in 1999. Mr. Jeffers was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed as a machinist with Air Preheater in Wellsville, NY for 34 years, retiring in 1984. He was a life member of American Legion Carl E. Hyde Post 963 in Ulysses and the Genesee Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed grandchildren, gardening and camping. Surviving are: a son, Donald (Linda) Jeffers of Genesee; a daughter, Carolyn (Charles) Hemphill of Genesee; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel E. (Urvil) Outman of Genesee, Velma (Harvey) Vallieres of Whitesville, NY and Beverly M. (Verl) Cook of Genesee; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Lou Dunbar; five sisters; and two brothers. Friends may call today (Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004) from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Benjamin R. GLADYS G. JEFFERS GENESEE, Pa. - Gladys G. Jeffers, 76, of Genesee died Saturday (Sept. 25, 1999) in the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Born July 6, 1923, in Harrison Valley, she was a daughter of Hubert and Nettie Button Outman. On October 7, 1945, in Whitesville, N.Y., she married Arlee J. Jeffers, who survives. Mrs. Jeffers was a homemaker and a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and camping. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jeffers is survived by a son, Donald (Linda) Jeffers of Genesee; a daughter, Carolyn (Charles) Hemphill of Genesee; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Urvil Outman and Harold Outman, both of Genesee and Edward Outman of Wellsville, N.Y.; four sisters, Alberta Grover of Genesee, Anna Miller of Clyde, N.Y., Pauline Haskins of Parker, Fla., and Mary Jean Stone of Coudersport; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Lou Dunbar; two brothers; and two sisters. Friends may call today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kear Olney Funeral Home in Ulysses. LETHA D. JENSEN PASSED AWAY FEB. 1 Letha D. Jensen, 68, of Edmore passed away Saturday, February 1, 1975 in her home. She was born October 6, 1906, in Belvidere Township. Survivors are Mrs. Jensen's husband Elwyn, a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Bigelow, Greenville; two sons, Robert E., Edmore and Lane E., Crystal; seven Grandchildren. Johnston, Mr. Ginter V. 8125 Apple Avenue, Ravenna, MI Mr. Ginter V. Johnston, age 62 yrs., passed away Tuesday noon at Muskegon General Hosital after a lingering illness. He was born March 23, 1910 in Manton, Michigan and has resided in Muskegon since 1950. He was married to the former Uneta Belle Kern on February 10, 1931. He was employed at Teledyne Continental Motors Corp., for 17 yrs., until his retirement in 1962. He accepted the Lord through the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Melvin of White Cloud, Joseph and Storm both of Morley; 18 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; 3 sisters, Mrs. Florence Creed of Millbrook, Mich.; Mrs. Lula VanWyck of Manton, Mich. and Mrs. Jessie Hutson of Fruitport, Mich. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Sytsema Chapel, Elder Gerard Slack officiating and at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Stittsville United Methodist Church, Elder Jason Prest officiating and the Interment will be in the Stittsville Cemetery. Johnston, Uneta Belle Uneta Belle Johnston, age 89 of Fremont, formerly of Muskegon, passed away Monday, May 30, 2005 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Uneta was born on June 24, 1915 in Norwich Township, Missaukee County to Henry B. and Hazel (Force) Kern and later married Ginter V. Johnston in 1932. Ginter preceded her in death in 1972. Uneta was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Muskegon and owned and operated a snack bar at the Goodwill Store in Muskegon until the age of 80 when she retired. She was an accomplished organist, pianist and played the accordion and simply enjoyed music. She often played at dances with her family. She is survived by her children, Melvin D. Johnston of Manton; Joseph (Barbara) Johnston of Lake City, Michigan; Storm (Velma) Johnston of Toledo, Washington; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude E. Vanbrocklin and by her brothers, Forrest L. Kern and Clifford Kern. VISITATION : Friday 5-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel and Saturday from 10-11am at the Morristown Church in Morristown, Michigan. ARLOENE E. JONES HARRISON VALLEY, Pa. - Arloene E. Jones, 63, of 121 W. Main St. died Sunday (May 30, 1993) in the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. She was born on April 11, 1930, in Harrison Township, a daughter of Ivan and Myra Outman Kibbe, Sr. on July 14, 1948 in Harrison Valley, she was married to Walter Jones, who survives. Mrs. Jones was employed by Galeton Production for many years. She was a member of the Harrison Valley Federated Church and the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed making quilts. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Johnny Jones of Mills and Michael Jones of Rochester, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Bonnie) Stevens of Ulysses and Mrs. Thomas (Cheryl) Cornish of Camden, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; six brothers, Ivan Kibbe Jr., Russell Kibbe, Cleon Kibbe and Theodore Kibbe, all of Harrison Valley, Jacob Kibbe of Westfield, and Byron Kibbe of Mills; four sisters, Betty Metcalf, Loveda Potter, Virginia Lampman and Beverly Tormey, all of Harrison Valley; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. C. Douglas Jones, 64, of Charlotte died September 5, 1998, at Carolinas Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born August 27, 1934, in St. Louis, MO, a son of Margaret E. Smith Jones and the late Charles Edmund Jones. Mr. Jones had been a salesman in the commercial building supply industry and had been a Charlotte resident since 1960. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. He was a friend of Bill W. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jones will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 1998, from the sanctuary of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 1900 Emerywood Drive, with The Reverend Dr. Gary C. Royals officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the fellowship hall. Mr. Jones was a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Bernice Jones; three daughters, Cynthia A. Corall and her husband, Bill, of Charlotte, Laura J. Arndt and her husband, Phil, of Seattle, WA, Peggy E. Hill and her husband, Jon, of Asheville, NC; one son, Daniel D. Jones and his wife, Kelly, of Charlotte; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Jones of Gainesville, MO; seven beautiful grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Lauren Hill, Allison Hill, Shelby Jones, William Corall, Jennifer Corall and Annie Jones; and sister, Mrs. Bonnie Gilmore and her husband, Don, of Theodosia, MO. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Kohler and JoAnne Fuchs, and brothers-in-law, Milton and William Owens. Mr. Jones is also survived by sister-in-law, Harriet Atteberry of Warrenton, MO; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Norm Ullrich of San Diego, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Sherry Owens of St. Louis, MO; and many nieces and nephews. Clifford Henry Kern Clifford Henry Kern was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, April 16, 1921, and departed this life January 4, 1943, at the home of his brother, Forrest Kern of Ravenna, Michigan. Surviving him are his father, Henry Kern, one brother, Forrest L. Kern and two sisters, Mrs. G. VanBrocklin of Ravenna and Mrs. Uneta Johnston of Stittsville, his grandmother and several uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces. KERN, Mr. Forrest L., Ravenna, Michigan Mr. Forrest Kern, age 69, passed away Friday evening very unexpectedly. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, 7 daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Louise) Proctor of Sparta, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) McGrady and Mrs. Dale (Sherri) Davenport, both of Ravenna, Mrs. Richard (Marilynn) Stanton of Fla., Mrs. Torrey (Linda) Ohman of Kent City, Mrs. Greg (Leeta) Inman of Wash., and Mrs. Richard (Juanita) Stuhan of Muskegon, 27 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Russell (Gertrude) VanBrocklin of Lake City and Mrs. Uneta Johnston of Ravenna. A son predeceased Mr. Kern. The funeral service for Mr. Kern will be held Monday morning, 10 o'clock, at the Throop Funeral Home, Ravenna, Pastor Swinger and Pastor Penno officiating. Hazel Ett Force was born on 8 Nov. 1892 in Spencer Township, Kent County, Michigan. She was baptized on 8 Sept. 1918 in Lake Cadillac, Wexford County, Cadillac Michigan. Mr. & Mrs. Henry B. Kern were baptized into the Seventh-Day Adventist Church the 8th day of September, 1918 at Lake Cadillac, Cadillac, Michigan while at camp meeting. She died on 22 March 1942 in Lake City, Missaukee County, Michigan. Mrs. Henry Kern died at Kilbourne Home. She was buried on 24 March 1942 in Stittsville Cemetery, Stittsville, Missaukee County, Michigan. Hazel had several strokes in young life which left her visually impaired. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.

Kern (Ravenna) Mrs. Ruth Kern, aged 60, died June 6, 1992. She is survived by two daughters, Sherri (Dale) Devenport of Ravenna, Juanita (Richard) Stuhan of Muskegon; her father, Mr. Floyd Housler of Ravenna; two sisters, Joyce Housler of Muskegon, Barbara (Richard) Hoffman of Kent City; 13 grandchildren. Byron B. "Jum" Kibbe MILLS, Pa. -- Byron B. "Jum" Kibbe, 62, of Mills died unexpectedly Tuesday (Sept. 21, 1999) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. Born Jan. 27, *1937, in Harrison Township, he was a son of Ivan and Myra I. Outman Kibbe. On April 6, 1963 in Scio, NY, he married the former Ellen Young, who survives. Mr. Kibbe was employed by Ulysses Agway for many years. After his retirement he owned and operated the Mills Country Store. In addition to his wife, Mr. Kibbe is survived by two daughters, Diane (Jim Pickering) Hurd of Harrison Valley and Sandra Lynn (Erich) Petsch of Ulysses; a foster son, James (Rehgina) Floyd of Torrington, Conn.; seven grandchildren; five brothers, Ivan (Jennie) Kibbe, Jr., Russell (Bonita) Kibbe, Cleon (Betty) Kibbe, Theodore Kibbe, all of Harrison Valley and Jacob Kibbe of Alabama; four sisters, Betty (Fred) Metcalf, Lovenda (Dale) Potter, Virginia (James) Lampman and Beverly (Robert) Tormey, all of Harrison Valley; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Arloene Jones and Mary Lou Kibbe. Friends may call today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kear-Olney Funeral Home in Ulysses. Funeral services will be held Friday (Sept. 24, 1999) at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. James T. Wenrich, OSL, will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. MRS. IVAN KIBBE Harrison Valley, Pa. -- Mrs. Myra I. Kibbe, 72, of Harrison Valley, died Thursday (Nov. 9, 1978) at her home following a lengthy illness. Born in Harrison Township on October 23, 1906, she was a daughter of Walter and Myra Hodge Outman. She was married to Ivan Kibbe in Whitesville, N.Y. in 1924, who survives. Mrs. Kibbe was Postmistress in Harrison Valley for several years. She was a member of Harrison Grange 1203 and a member of the Harrison Valley Firemen's Auxiliary. Surviving besides her husband, are six sons; Ivan Kibbe Jr., Russell Kibbe, Cleon Kibbe, Theodore Kibbe, all of Harrison Valley, Jacob Kibbe of Dundee, N.Y. and Byron Kibbe of Ulysses; five daughters, Mrs. Walter (Arloene) Jones, Mrs. Fred (Betty) Metcalf, Mrs. Dale (Loveda) Potter, Mrs. James (Virginia) Lampman, and Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Tormey, all of Harrison Valley; 32 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Hubert Outman of Genesee and James Outman of Arlington, Va. Audrey E. King Audrey E. King, 79, of King’s Lane, Harrisville, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. Mrs. King had resided at her Harrisville address for the past 35 years. She formerly lived in Springville. Born Dec. 18, 1924, in Potter’s Brook, Potter County, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Adah Dunham Outman. She attended public schools in Allegany, N.Y. Mrs. King had worked for Dr. Kamel Aoun, M.D., in Franklin and also worked in housekeeping at the Franklin VFW and St. Bonaventure College, Allegany, N.Y. She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Franklin and also was a member of the Victory Township Community League in Victory Township. Mrs. King was a member of the Hebron Church in Victory Township. She enjoyed quilting, baking and her family. Mrs. King was married Nov. 16, 1942, to Freeman W. King, who died Feb. 14, 1995. Surviving are six daughters, Leona B. Hanna and husband, Stephen F., of Harrisville, Adah M. King Glenn of Harrisville, Peggy I. King and companion, Leonard Lowe, of Bartow, Fla., Helen L. Freeman W. King, Jr. Freeman W. King Jr., 71, of Harrisville RD 1, formerly of Polk RD 1, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 14, 1995, in Northwest Medical Center at Franklin. He had resided at Harrisville RD 1 for the past 26 years. Born April 22, 1923, in Springville, Victory Township, Venango County, he was a son of Freeman W. King Sr. and Mary L. Baker King. Mr. King attended the Lyrons Run Public School in Victory Township and also attended Franklin High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the western Pacific. He enlisted April 27, 1943, and was discharged Jan. 8, 1946. He then joined the Army Reserves Jan. 10, 1946, and remained a member until Jan. 9, 1949. Mr. King was last employed by PennDOT in Franklin, retiring as a mechanic. Prior to that, he had been self-employed having owned and operated his own lumber mill throughout Venango County. He was a member of the Hebron Church. Mr. King was a life member of the Jesse Greer VFW Post No. 1835 in Franklin, was a life member of the American Legion Post in Harrisville and was a life member of the Victory Area Community Center in Victory Township. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening and playing the harmonica. Mr. King was married Nov. 16, 1942, to the former Audrey E. Outman, who survives. Also surviving are six sons, Ronald F. King of Rosehill, N.C., DeWayne A. King and Gary D. King, both of Harrisville RD 1, Robert W. King of Harrisville, andLarry D. King and Frank E. King, both of Tulsa, Okla.; six daughters, Mrs. Stephen F. (Leona B.) Hanna and Mrs. Adah M. King Glenn, both of Harrisville RD 1, Mrs. Steve (Peggy I.) McGeehan of Sebring, Fla., Mrs. John (Helen L.) Davis of Broken Arrow, Okla., Mrs. Steve (Beatrice E.) Carr of Sapulpa, Okla., and Mrs. Rickie (Florence M.) Goshorn of Tulsa, Okla.; 35 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Harold (Beatrice) Record of Oregon, Mrs. Russell (Sadie) Riggs of Colorado, Mrs. Nevin (Adamae) Peterson of Oklahoma, Mrs. Dale (Clara) Riggs of Florida and Mrs. Marion Beightol of Polk RD 1; and one brother, Earl King of Franklin. In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by two brothers, DeWayne H. King and Ashley King; and one grandchild. The Larry E. DEATH STRIKES PIONEER WOMAN RICHMOND, Jan. 1. -- Mrs. Sarah Jane Kinney, pioneer resident of Richmond, died in her home here, 915 Seventh street, on her 72nd birthday yesterday. Born in Shasta county, California, on December 31, 1858, Mrs. Kinney had lived in this city for 26 years. She was the widow of the late Levi Jerome Kinney. She is survived by a son, W. A. Kinney of Richmond; four granddaughters, Miss Gladys Kaylor and Mrs. L. R. Outman of Richmond, Mrs. A. B. McKinney, of Madiera, and Miss Marie T. Kinney of Berkeley; one grandson, Leroy Kaylor of Richmond, and three great grandchildren, Lillian and Leslie Outman of Richmond, and Annabel McKinney of Madiera. Mrs. Kinney was a member of Onetah Council No. 96, Richmond Pocahontas, of the Post Pocahontas association, and of the Royal Neighbors of America. Funeral servies will be held in Curry's funeral chapel here at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow under auspices of Onetah Council of Pocahontas. The body will be cremated in the Berkeley Crematory.

MRS. STELLA KNICHERBACHER ELKLAND, PA - Mrs. Stella Knickerbacher of Elkland died at her home Sunday after a long illness. She was 52 years of age. A native of Ulysses Township, she was born October 2, 1901, the daughter of George Jeffers and the late Mrs. Jeffers. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose and the A. F. of L. Auxiliary. Besides her father, she is survived by her husband, Ruel; son, Edward of Corning; four daughters, Mrs. Niva Jeffers, Mrs. Juanita Potter, Mrs. Jean Johnson and Mrs. Kathorine Jeffers, all of Elkland: two brothers Bert and Archie Jeffers of Elkland; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Outman, Mrs. Mary Hand and Mrs. Lorena Knickerbacher all of Elkland and Mrs. Mildred White of Westfield, Pa. Twelve grandchildren also survive. The body will at the family home today and Tuesday where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the Elkland Methodist Church Wednesday at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Frank Russell officiating. Burial will be made in Highland Cemetery at Elkland.

Andrew J. Konersmann Mass of Christian Burial for Andrew J. Konersmann, corporate secretary and senior vice president of the investment department of Van Schaack and Co., was offered Wednesday at St. John's Roman Catholic Church. Interment was at Fairmount. Konersmann, 65, died Monday at home in Denver. He was born March 19, 1915, in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from the Missouri Institute of Accountancy and Law. He married Martha Lee Outman on Jan. 3, 1942. In 1950 he was chosen as Denver's Young Man of the Year by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was active in the Building Owners and Managers Association. Konersmann was a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, Denver Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Trade Executives Institute, Community Chest, Denver Civic Council, City Club of Denver and Downtown Denver Improvement Association. He also served on a committee to study equality of educational opportunities in Denver Public Schools. He is survived by his wife; a son, Brother Laurence Konersmann of Christian Brothers in New Orleans, La.; a daughter, Shaaron Copher, Denver; three sisters, Virginia Moser, June Sinkler and Betty Tighe, all of St. Louis, and three grandsons. Alfred (Gene) Kregear MCALESTER, Okla. Alfred (Gene) Kregear of McAlester, Okla. died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 in Sapulpa, Okla. He was 66. He was born Dec. 20, 1935 in McBain to Clarence Walter and Hazel (Outman) Kregear. He married Mary Ann Parkhurst Dec. 31, 1952 in Marion. Mr. Kregear grew up and attended schools in the McBain area. He moved to the McAlester, Okla. area in 1978 and worked as a private contractor in the telecommunications industry. He was a member of the McAlester, Okla. Elks Club. Survivors include his wife Mary Ann of McAlester, Okla.; children, Carmen Vanduinen of Lake City, Robert Kregear of Merritt, Diane Henry of Bethany, Okla. and Michael Kregear of Shawnee, Okla.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Sheryl O'Mell of Houghton Lake and Carol Roys of Merritt. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty; and brother, Lester. Graveside services took place Monday, Oct. 14, 2002 with Rev. Larry Logan officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, McAlester, Okla. Arrangements were handled by Bishop Funeral Service.

HAZEL V. KREGEAR Hazel V. Kregear, 85 of Merritt, died at Mercy Manor in Grayling, on Dec. 4, 1992. She was born to William and Mary Outman Sept. 4, 1907 in Norwich Township and married Clarence W. Kregear in 1925 at Lake City. Mr. Kregear preceded her in death on May 3, 1971. Mrs. Kregear is survived by sons Lester of Merritt and Alfred of McAlester, OK; daughters Mrs. Clarence (Betty) Moore of Perry, Mrs. William (Sheryl) Omell of Houghton Lake, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Roys of Lake City, brother William Outman of Lake City, 17 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son Erwin in 1959 and great-granddaughter Cassidy in 1992. Funeral services were held at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City on Dec. 7, 1992 with Rev. Cindy Schaefer officiating. Burial was at the Butterfield Township Cemetery.

Anita M. Kruse 42 Reo Anita M. Kruse, 62, 42 Reo, died at 6:30 a.m. today at Bartholomew County Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a former employee of St. Peter's Lutheran School cafeteria. She was married to Leon Outman on Oct. 31, 1941, and he died Dec. 3, 1965. She then was married to Clarence Kruse on Dec. 15, 1967, and he survives. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Boetchers and the Senior Citizens. Surviving besides the husband is a daughter, Carolyn Leatherbury, Route 6; a step-son, Eugene Kruse, Seymour route 5; a brother, Carl Moorman, Seymour; a sister, Marie White, Waveland; a half-brother, Elmer Luecky and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Kuhn was born February 27, 1903 in South Haven, MI,, the son of William A. and Anna (Kolaf) Kuhn and had made his home in this community since 1925. He retired from Gibson, Inc. where he was employed for 45 years. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, served as Treasurer for the Milham Meadows Lunch for Seniors Program and led their Bible study. Ernest loved to garden, work with wood and do things for his family and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys M. Kuhn on December 2, 1985. Surviving are a daughter and son, Kip Marion and Patrick A. Taylor of Traverse City, MI; 3 graddaughters, Carla Schultz, Deborah Deem and Vickie Wiegand; 10 great grandchildren, Carrie Scott, Kelly, Brian, Brad, Melissa, Chad, Brandi Ann, O.G. and Heidi; 6 great grandchildren; one sister, Edith Kenna of Benton Harbor; several nieces and nephews. KUHN, Mrs. Gladys M. 607 Hutchinson Passed away Monday morning, Dec. 2, 1985. Mrs Kuhn was born Nov. 11, 1902, in Union City, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Outman and had been a resident of Kalamazoo for over 50 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid Society, and Kalamazoo-Portage Moose Lodge No. 88. In 1938, she married Ernest Kuhn, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Kip Marion and Patrick A. Taylor of Traverse City; 3 granddaughters, Carla Schultz of Portage, Debarah Deem and Vickie Wiegand of Kalamazoo; 9 great-grandchildren; one niece, Annabelle Irvin, and one nephew, Harl Houtman. DELBERT LANDRETH Delbert W. Landreth of Pomona died Saturday at Ontario Community Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Landreth was born April 17, 1919 in DeSoto, Ill. He was employed by Jade Control Co. of Upland and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pomona where he sang in the Choir. Surviving are his wife, Fern; six daughters, Ruth Ann Doty and Karmen West of Clearlake, Myrtle West, Darlene, Rosa; four sisters, Gladys Ellis of Hamilton, Idaho, Viola Knutson of Grantsville, Utah, Joyce Orr of Salt Lake City, Utah and Alma of Napa, Idaho; three brothers, his twin, Dwight of Phelan, Arthur of Sacramento and Bruce of Eden, Idaho; and 14 grandchilren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Pentacostal Church of God in Baldwin Park. The Rev. Ellis Wright, pastor, will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Harbor Lawn Memorial Park in Costa Mesa. Custer Christiansen Mortuary, West Covina, in charge of arrangements. Dwight Landreth Dwight Landreth was born a twin on April 17, 1919 in Illinois, attended high school there, and went on to become the Head Chef in the CCC. He received training in an Electronics Trade School and in later years enjoyed putting computers together for a hobby. He used this training during his 27 years at General Dynamics. Between 1942 and 1945 he was a Master Sergeant in the U. S. Army at Fort Sill, OK. In the early 1970s he came to live in Phelan Community Church, and grew wonderful vegetables which he shared with everyone. He also raised cows, sheep, and rabbits that he cared for like they were his children. Landreth was one of the initial founders of the Tri-Community County Food Distribution and the Phelan-Baldy Mesa Food Pantry. He gave monetary support and almost 24-hour-a-day voluntary service, driving, loading, unloading, as well as directing and dispersing the food. When the Pantry Shelves were empty he would often give out of his own kitchen cupboards. Landreth, though often rough and gruff on the outside, had a big benevolent heart on the inside. He loved kids and would stop his busy day in the Pantry just to talk to a child or listen to a senior citizen's plight. When the Pantry was divided out to various churches he continued to pick up food for them in Palmdale, San Bernardino and Victorville. He never stopped loving the giving of food to those who were desperately in need. Landreth was unique, his "Army Sergeant type" personality was distinct, his love for serving, giving his direct clear way of discerning people and problems was a positive boost to the service of the Lord in the High Desert. He leaves his wife Ardeth, son Curtis of Washington, D. C., son Daryl of Oklahoma, stepson Donald Crocker and adopted daughter Marie, brother Arthur and Bruce of Idaho, and sister Viola of Utah. His twin Delbert is deceased. He leaves a host of friends and a beloved family at the Fountain of Living Waters Church.

Mr. Landreth Elva W. Landreth, 73-year-old retired service station operator of Route 1, Cushing died Friday morning in the Cushing Hospital following a long illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Fairley Funeral Home with Rev. Jack James of the First Baptist Church offciating. Interment will be in the Flynn Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of the Fairley Funeral Home. Mr. Landreth was born October 30, 1897 in Cusico, Indiana. He spent the early part of his life in Illinois and Idaho. He was married to Myrtle Fox in Elkville, Ill. in 1918 and she preceded him in death in 1941. He came to the Cushing area in 1953. He was married to Martha Jobe in Feb. of that same year and the couple have made their home in Cushing since that time. Mr Landreth has authored two books, "Precious Pearls and Old Pottery" and "The Old Grey Wolf of Little Valley" in addition to operating his own service station business. Surviving relatives include his wife, Martha, of the home. Five sons, Dwight of Ontario, Calif., Delbert of Oroville, Calif., Arthur of Sacramento, Calif., John of Sacramento, Calif., and Bruce of Eden Idaho. Four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Ellis of Hazelton, Idaho, Viola Knutson of Grantsville, Utah, Alma Landreth of Nampa, Idaho, and Joyce Orr of Salt Lake City, Utah. One stepdaughter, Mrs. Ethel Flood of Stillwater, Okla. and 31 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; three brothers, five sisters and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by one son.

Landreth, Hazelton died yesterday evening at the Wendell hospital where she had been under treatment for heart trouble. Mrs. Landreth was born Aug. 20, 1900, at Vergennes, Ill. Besides her husband, she is survived by six sons, Delbert William, Dwight Albert, Arthur Elva, John Curtis, Charles Alfred, and CLyde Bruce, and four daughters, Joyce Arlene, Gladys Bernice, Alma Lucille, and Viola Winifred.

C.R.Lawton Passes To His Reward Clayton "Stubs" Lawton of R.D. 1 , Shinglehouse died at his home on Saturday, October 5, 1957, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Hebron Township on December 30, 1888. On January 1, 1910 he was united in marriage with Miss Hazel Bailey and two children were born of this union, Mrs. Margaret Sisson and Manford Lawton. She died on December 30, 1920. In 1929 Mr. Lawton was married to Miss Helen Holcomb. Mr. Lawton was formerly Vice President of the Oswayo Valley Rural Community Fair Association. He also served on the board of directors for many years, until poor health forced his resignation. He was an active worker at the fair each year. Mr. Lawton was a member of the Evangelical United Bretheren Church of Coneville; the Loyal order of Moose, 503, Bradford, and the West Bingham Grange. He had worked in the chemical plant at Genesee and Coneville and in the oil field at Rixford. He had been a farmer for the past 25 years. Survivors include his wife; three daughters; Mrs. Margaret Sisson of Obi, N.Y., Miss Beatrice Lawton and Miss Edith Lawton, both at home; two sons, Manford Lawton of Allentown, N.Y., and Robert Lawton, of Elmira, N.Y.; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nina VanDerhoof, of Clara, Pa., and Miss Reva Harris, of Coneville, Pa.; also several nieces and nephews. A prayer service was conducted at 2:30 o'clock at the late home on Tuesday afternoon with further services at two o'clock at the EUB Church in Coneville, Rev. Lewis Rea, pastor, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Harold West, pastor of the EUB Church at Millport, and Rev. Burdette Mason, pastor of the Church of Nazerene, Waverly, N.Y. Burial was made in Rathburn Cemetery at Coneville. Pallbearers were Elton Swift, Lloyd Pepperman, Golden Calhoun, Gordon Maynard, Paul Costello and Earl Higley.

LIMESTONE - Manford R. "Boe" Lawton, 74, died March 20, 1989, at a Presque Isle hospital, after a long illness. He was born at Coneville, Pa., Jan. 27, 1915, the son of Clayton Robert and Hazel M. (Bailey) Lawton. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, serving in the European, African and Middle East Campaigns. He was a parts department manager for Lockwood Farm Machinery Co. for many years, before his retirement. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church of Limestone and a long-time resident of Limestone. He is survived by his wife, Mae D. (Sloan) Lawton of Limestone; his step-mother, Mrs. Helen Lawton of Shinglehouse, Pa.; three sons, Gary Sturdevant of Coudersport, Pa., Roy Lawton of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Gerry Lawton of Andover, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Rowland (Tammy) Allen of Andover, N.Y., and Mrs. Clarence (Diane) Jackson of Canisteo, N.Y.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Tom (Sue) Ross of East Lebanon; one brother, Robert Lawton of Shinglehouse, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Sisson of Bolivar, N.Y., Mrs. Burrett (Beatrice) West of Middleport, Pa., and Mrs. Francis (Edith) Freaney of Olean, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchldren. EMELINE CHRYSLER was born July 27, 1830 in the state of New York and in 1833 parents moved to Leslie, Mich. and remained 14 years. When 17 years of age she moved with her parents* to Putnam, Livingston Co., Mich., and remained five years. From there she went to Kent Co., and in 1853 she returned to her former home in Livingston Co. At Pinckney, Nov. 27, 1853, she was united in marriage to Murray T. Speer and remained there 14 years. In 1867 they moved to Rives Junction and remained one and one-half years. From there they moved to the farm where she has since resided, 32 years. One son and two daughters have been born to them, and only one daughter, Mrs. Martha Bacon survives her. In the winter of 1883 deceased was born of the Holy Spirit and a number of times at meetings held in her home this winter her testimony has been that she longed to depart out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint, a body fashioned like unto His glorious body. Her husband died June 14, 1887. Dec. 21, 1891, at Leslie, she was again married to John H. Lee. She has been a great sufferer for many months. The great change came Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1901, at 5:20 p.m. Besides her daughter there remains her husband, a brother and sister to mourn her death. *When she is referred to as moving with her parents, it is her father John Chrysler, Jr. and her step-mother Almira/Alvira, as her father remarried after the death of her mother Rachel (Outman) Chrysler in 1838.

LEHR, Ruth E. Snyder Bay City, MI Formerly of Fulton-Athens Area Passed away Friday evening, April 8, 1988, at the Bay City Hospital. She was born in Fulton, MI on July 30, 1895. She graduated from Western State Normal College in Kalamazoo in 1913 and she taught school in the Fulton area until she married Earle J. Lehr. He preceded her in death in 1965. She was a member of the Athens Congregational Church, the New Idea Club and the Ladies Guild, where she served in various offices. She was a deaconess and a Sunday School teacher for many years. She is survived by a sister, Irene Wetters, of Bay City. Funeral services will be at 3 o'clock today at the Spenser Funeral Home, Athens, MI. Pastor Donald Wolfgang, Sr. officiating. LESKOWYAK, WILLIAM C. WILLIAM C. LESKOWYAK, 62, of Fremont, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born Feb. 9, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of Helen (Stanko) Leskowyak, and Joe and Alma Lesko. He married Martha (Coonce) on Dec. 29, 1972, in Beaver, Pa.; she survives. He was an over the road truck driver for several companies, including Loadmaster Trucking, Bloomsburg, N.J. Also he worked for Friskney Equipment, Angola, driving local deliveries. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War Veteran. Member of Fremont American Legion Cassel Post 257 and Fremont Moose Lodge, and he was a Rusty Wallace NASCAR fan. Surviving are his wife, Martha Leskowyak of Fremont; son, Shane (Carol) Leskowyak of Fremont; two daughters, Kim (Tim) Tambellini of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Valerie Outman of Three Rivers, Mich.; nine grandchildren; two brothers, John (Cassie) Leskowyak of Beaver, Pa. and Michael (Darlene) Leskowyak of Westerville, Ohio; and one sister, Donna (John) Phillips of Pittsburgh, Pa. MARIAN G. LONG Jan. 17, 1910 - Jan. 26, 1993 Marian G. Long, 83, a resident of Montrose since 1981, died on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1993, in her home at Montrose. Memorial Services will be officiated by the Rev. Lloyd McMillan on Friday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. from the Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose. The service will conclude at the chapel. Cremation will precede the service, with arrangements being handled under the direction of the Crippin Funeral Home in Montrose. Gray was born on Jan. 17, 1910 in Merritt, Mich., the daughter of James E. and Mabel (Force) Gray. She spent her childhood in Michigan, graduated from high school in Merriett, Mich., and graduated from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., with a Teacher's degree. On July 19, 1930, Miss Gray married Leland S. Long. The couple moved to Rifle, Colo. in 1957 where Mrs. Long taught school and her husband was employed with Sun Oil Company. The Longs then returned to Michigan where they resided until 1981 when they came to Montrose where Mrs. Long made her home until her death. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leland S. Long, of Montrose; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Dee Long of Montrose; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Lou Woodruff, of Palisades, Fla., and Lansing, Mich.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Other family survivors include four sisters; Bessie Behnke of Lake City, Mich.; Margaret Miller of McBain, Mich.; Bonnie Smith of Jennison, Mich.; and Rosalynn Schiller, of Detroit, Mich. Mrs. Long enjoyed her grandchildren very much and loved to cook. She also enjoyed fishing.

DONALD ARTHUR LOTT Bath -- Donald Arthur Lott, age 74, of 24 Brown Road, Corning, NY passed away on Saturday, October 17, 1998 at the Bath Veterans Medical Center in Bath, NY following a lengthy illness. Donald served his country during WW II in the US Army Air Corps. He was employed as a salesman with Arnolds Furniture Store in Corning and Elmira for over 40 years and also Coons Furniture in Corning. He was a member of the Big Flats American Legion Skinner Ernest Memorial Post #1612, Corning Moose Club #274 and the Canine Obedience Club of Elmira. In Donald's spare time he enjoyed traveling with his therapy dog, visiting nursing homes and visiting with cerebral palsy children. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Hotalen Lott; a son, Donald (Suzanne) Lott of Bath; a daughter, and son-in-law, Bonnie and Richard Winters of Painted Post; grandchildren; Cheralyn King of Sanford, FL; Jeffrey King of Winston Salem, NC; Darrin King of Charlotte, NC; Donald (Barbara) Lott of Bath; Daniel (Melanie) Lott of Warwick, RI; David (Eva) Lott of Warwick, RI; Rebecca (Jeffery) Kellogg of Painted Post and 7 great grandchildren. A native of Meridian, Mr. Loveless was the son of Frank Loveless & the late Ethel Halstead Loveless. He had been a Farmer most of his life, except for the last two years when he was employed as a Bus Driver by the Cato-Meridian Central School.
