Mildred Caroline "Minnie" Outman NorrisBorn January 1, 1885 Valles Mines, MODied January 17, 1965 at 5338 Blow St., St. Louis, MO Married William Henry Norris I'm sure every child thinks their mother is really special, but the older I became, the more I realized how truly special my mother was. She did not have an easy life, and yet I never heard her complain about her lot in life. Whenever problems would arise, I would see her kneeling in prayer. She demonstrated for her children a true belief in God, and she served him well. I never heard my mother indulge in gossip or say an unkind word about anyone, nor did I ever hear anyone say anything unkind or malicious about her. She was a person who loved... and who was loved. Just after my mother died, my Uncle Clyde Outman commented "there goes our peacemaker," and my son Brad, in one of his school papers shortly after my mother died, wrote that his Grammie was more beautiful than the most beautiful rose that ever grew. I couldn't help thinking, what a wonderful legacy to leave and what a wonderful way to be remembered. I only hope my brothers and children and grandchildren will remember me as lovingly. My mother was truly an inspiration in my life. I will always remember her as the most special person I ever knew. Tribute written by Dorothy Norris Hill |
