MR. AND MRS. G.D. OUTMAN - 50 YEARS

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dean Outman, Pope Mills Road, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 24. They celebrated the occasion with a family dinner at Gentry's Clam Cove, Gouverneur.

Mr. Outman, son of the late Archie and Pearl Outman, married Jeanne Chambers, daughter of Marie Chambers, Heuvelton, and the late Lloyd Chambers, Oct. 24, 1947, in St. Raphael's rectory with the Rev. Harold J. Martin officiating.

Honor attendants were Eleanor Chambers, New Hartford, sister of the bride, and Durwood Outman, Syracuse, brother of the bridegroom.

Mr. Outman graduated from Brier Hill High School and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a welder at General Motors, Massena, for 28 years, and enjoys fishing and sports.

Mrs. Outman graduated from Heuvelton Central School. A homemaker, she worked for the DePeyster Election Board for 25 years. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and sewing.

They have four daughters, Ellen Outman, Myrna White and Tricia Outman, all of Heuvelton, and Gina Outman, Theresa, and five grandchildren.
