Meyers Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Doris and Ralph Meyer of Bronson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 17 at a dinner reception given by their children and grandchildren at the Sturgis Holiday Inn.

Doris Outman and Ralph Meyer exchanged wedding vows on Nov. 21, 1941 at the home of the bride's parents, Elda and Loyd Outman, in Leonidas before Rev. L. B. Hull. They were attended by Burdena Decker (Berger), bride's friend and Randall Meyer, groom's brother.

The party was hosted by the couple's daughter, Linda Lance of Germantown, MD; a son and his wife, Lynn and Jessica of Buchanan; granddaughters, Michelle Meyer of Kalamazoo and Melinda (Meyer) Pairitz and her husband, Eric of South Bend, Ind.

Enjoying the afternoon gathering were the couple's immediate family, close friends and neighbors. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Meyer of Sherwood, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Meyer, Ruth Meyer, Vera Hurd, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kolassa and Rrosie Chard, all of Bronson, Mrs. Charles (Rhea Meyer) Savchuk of Ligonier, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meyer of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Outman, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Outman, Mr. and Mrs. John (Arlene Outman) Collins and Stanley Outman, all of Leonidas, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Outman and Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Ardis Outman) Barnabee of Mendon and Mrs. Harold Outman of Constantine. Unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Outman of Colon.
